The Charity Comms Network was founded by Ellen Marshall and Fina Gray in 2024, with one clear mission: unite the top marketing, communications, and digital minds in the non-profit sector through fun, free networking events.

Our goal? To spark inspiration, exchange ideas, and expand our networks so collectively we can drive the Australian NFP sector forward.
Meet the Team
Ellen Marshall
A six-time CPRA Golden Target Award winner, Ellen is a senior marketing and communications leader with more than 15 years’ experience across both for-purpose and for-profit sectors.
During her career, she’s led large cross-functional marketing teams at charities in the UK and Australia, including Anthony Nolan, Cancer Council NSW and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.
A future-focused, strategic thinker, Ellen co-founded the Charity Comms Network as she's passionate about driving the NFP sector forward to create impactful and sustained change for the people and communities our members serve.
Fina Gray
Head of Marketing & Communications at Cancer Council NSW, Fina leads the marketing, PR, content, and internal communications teams with purpose and passion, dedicated to protecting, promoting, and positioning the CCNSW brand to help tackle cancer and drive meaningful impact.
With over 15 years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector—spanning roles in the UK at organisations such as Marie Curie, the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, and the Global Angels Foundation—Fina brings deep sector knowledge and a commitment to purpose-driven storytelling.
As co-founder of The Charity Comms Network, Fina is driven to create change through connection. She champions shared insight, peer learning and community as powerful tools to elevate NFP communications.
